| Hi Janet!
Yesterday afternoon the bit has
arrived here in the Netherlands,
safe and sound. But I couldn’t find the
time to tell the good news. I’m very
satisfied, be assured, as it is a nice old bit showing that is has been
used
which to me adds to its charm. Getting the parcel was like getting a Christmas
present, such a
beautiful big stamp! I’ve looked at it in amazement.
Since I thought that you liked to
see proof (just for the fun of it) that the bit safely made it to my country
I
decided to make some pictures of my horse ‘Pete’ packing it. And, what a pity
that there’s no audio tape
of the CLANC CLANC - sounds that bit made when he
worked it! You’d both have been amazed as you
would have laughed – or wondered
at the din. It was as crazy as it as funny.
But he is a great sweet chap and he
posed willingly. Of course he got his treats when I was finished
taking pics, a
soft brush, a big hug and some horse ‘candy’ to thank him.
Doesn’t it look great on his black
coat? Of course I won’t bother him again with the bit, but it makes a pretty
picture…
It’s a pity we don’t live in the
same country. I’d recommend you in every respect to other horse people besides
which I have a lot of various tack to sell, some of which would have fitted in
what you are offering for sale.
And, we could maybe have met in person – my
friend and I went over your site, we both liked Bridie and you,
the beautiful
tack you offer at such friendly prices…
If ever…ever… you think of something
that I might please you with, something from my country, something I
could do,
search, I-don’t-know-what, please don’t forget me and contact me. I’d be happy
to do something
for you to thank you for willing to sell and send the bit and
the friendly way in which you did it all – just that
small personal note you
sent along! That makes such a difference and I’m not insensitive to those
little things.
To conclude: thanks to you I now
have the coveted military elbow bit. So you might feel how happy that makes me.
Thanks in every respect. For now
kindest of regards,
Ineke
